Taj Mahal to Easter Island — the world keeps getting bigger, and their reactions keep getting better.

Issue 5 of World Couple takes the duo across five of the world's most iconic heritage sites in pure comic gold. It opens at the Taj Mahal in full traditional dress — a stunning selfie undermined only by his vacant thousand-yard stare. Athens brings the Acropolis, a straw hat, and a local cat who has claimed the highest column as his throne while they marvel below. Cambodia's Angkor Wat turns into real-life Temple Run as a cheeky monkey steals his sunglasses and they both look equally startled by the ancient tree roots. At Chichén Itzá in Mexico they're dressed in vivid Mesoamerican prints while he cups his ear to the pyramid: "Did you hear that?!" The issue closes at Easter Island's Rapa Nui, cozy wool sweaters against the coastal wind, staring up at the enormous Moai statues in matching wide-eyed silence. Five continents, five monuments, one couple — the world is their very chaotic museum.
